the benevolent postcard society.

there’s no doubt we live in a digital age; long gone are days where we await anxiously by the mailbox hoping for a note from a loved one or friend abroad.  enter the benevolent postcard society, an art project, social experiment and postcard exchange tied all into one, the bps aims to connect people through a random exchange of postcards, both handmade and readymade.

unfortunately, they’re not accepting any new members at this point, but it’s still fun to see what others have sent and received, and some of the handmade postcards (and the obvious amount of work that went into making them) are awe-inspiring.

maybe we should start one, los angeles?
